A Comissão organizadora tudo fará para tornar este evento desportivo numa verdadeira festa, de modo a que todos levem uma bela recordação de Portugal, da Anadia e do seu magnífico Velódromo, bem como de todo o envolvimento turístico, paisagístico e gastronómico desta linda região da Bairrada. O espírito hospitaleiro dos portugueses esperamos que se faça sentir, e o espírito de fair-play de todos os participantes possa transmitir a beleza desportiva que este Campeonato com certeza irá transmitir ao mundo do ciclismo em geral.

English Version The Portuguese Cycling Federation is pleased to welcome to the riders of Track masters that will participate in the World Championship. The organizing committee will do every efforts to make this event a real sporting feast, so that everyone take a beautiful remembrance of Portugal, Anadia and its magnificent Velodrome, and the involvement of all tourist and gastronomic landscape of this beautiful place of Bairrada region. The hospitable spirit of the Portuguese people we hope that will be felt and the spirit of fair-play of all participants to transmit the beauty that this Championship will assure to spread to the world of cycling in general. 	Versão Portuguesa Pela primeira vez na história, o Velódromo de Anadia vai acolher um evento da UCI. O Campeonato do Mundo de Pista Masters vai ter lugar na pista recentemente construída fazendo parte dos esforços notáveis, da Federação Portuguesa de Ciclismo, de promover todas as disciplinas do ciclismo a nível nacional. Esta é uma conquista extremamente importante, que demonstra o entusiasmo e devoção dos dirigentes da Federação, bem como dos que apoiaram incluindo as autoridades politicas, associações desportivas, patrocinadores e voluntários. A contribuição vital de cada um destes grupos, permitiu a organização de um evento que irá trazer a esta região um número enorme de verdadeiros fãs, de todos os cantos do mundo.
Nesta breve mensagem, gostaria, em nome da UCI, de felicitar a Federação Portuguesa de Ciclismo e acima de tudo o seu Presidente, Dr. Artur Lopes, Vice Presidente da UCI, pelo seu constante comprometimento com o ciclismo. Estou certo que estes Campeonatos do Mundo de Pista Masters 2010 serão o início de uma magnífica aventura, e que outros tantos eventos serão realizados futuramente neste fantástico velódromo. English Version For the first time in history, the Anadia velodrome will be hosting a UCI event. The Masters World Championships will in fact take place on the Portuguese Cycling Federation’s track which it has recently constructed as part of its remarkable efforts to promote all cycling disciplines on a national level. This is of course an extremely important achievement, which demonstrates the enthusiasm and devotion of the leaders of the FPC, as well as all those who have supported them including the political authorities, sports associations, sponsors and volunteers. The vital contribution of each of these groups has enabled the organisation of an event which will attract to this region a huge number of true fans, from all over the world. In this brief message, I would like to congratulate the Portuguese Cycling Federation on behalf of the UCI and above all its President, Mr Artur Lopes, UCI Vice-President, for their constant commitment to cycling. I am certain that these 2010 Masters World Championships will only be the start of a magnificent adventure, and that many other events will be held in future in this superb velodrome. Finally, may I invite you all to join us and share with us the emotions of these next few days and convey the very best wishes of success to all the competitors in these World Championships.
